Job Summary:
Tanco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Red Seal Industrial Mechanic to join our maintenance team at the Bernic Lake Mine Site! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair all process equipment and required supporting structures in shop or field.

Responsibilities:
- Plans and performs work requiring thorough knowledge of mechanical principles, trade techniques, properties of various materials and operating and application principles of equipment.
- Responsible for repairs, rebuilds, adjusts, troubleshoots, installs, dismantles, overhauls, modifies, tests, cleans, lubricates, and maintains process equipment and structures, in shop or field.
- Determines nature and extent of work required, plans details of working procedure and obtains tools and materials required.
- Assembles and aligns gears, bearings, couplings, shafts, involving the application of press, sliding and running fits by adjusting and measuring to close tolerances using precision testing and measuring equipment.
- Operates machine tools such as drill press, pipe and rod threader, band saw, magnetic drill and hydraulic press.
- Operates pendent control crane, forklift, aerial lift and hoisting equipment to move and position equipment and materials.
- Performs scheduled, emergency and preventative maintenance work in field or shop and advises supervision when shut down of equipment is necessary in order to minimize damage and production interruptions.
- Carry out all work in a safe and professional manner complying with policies, procedures, and Workplace Health & Safety Regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Industrial Mechanic – Red Seal Certification.
