Job Description:

The Company:

Founded in 1960’s, Tanco was acquired by Sinomine Resource Group in 2019 and the head office, North America Business Division (NABD), is located in the town of Lac du Bonnet, MB with the mine site being 36 miles northeast of the town. Today, it encompasses an underground mine, a processing facility, and a chemical plant. The company mines lithium and cesium. With around 178 employees, we seamlessly integrate with Sinomine (US), a subsidiary of NABD, to handle the sales of Tanco’s high-purity cesium products.

Position Summary:

The Major Sales & Business Development Manager is a twofold position who maintains customer relationships by providing specifications on our products, sales, generating and achieving all sales and profit metric and responsible for growing, shaping and maintaining the company’s reputation and image in ways that promote our business, Mission, Vision and Values.

Responsibilities:

Sales:

Manager sales territory and sells products, generating target levels of revenue, volume and margins from customer base.
Develops volume and revenue forecasts, sales plans, and strategies for achieving desired results.
Effectively communicates and negotiates complex sales contracts with customers.
Educates customers on new products and product enhancements; articulates and presents product features and benefits.
Identifies new market opportunities as well as target builds.
Establishes and maintains processes that ensure accurate budget and forecast information for the business.
Participates in internal supply chain for cesium products.

Business Development:

Drive both current and future value for Sinomine by building a shared understanding of the individual customer and overall portfolio profitability and focus on where the company can differentiate itself at the interface with the customer.
Formulate and communicate all public relations plans and strategies.
Contracts review and engage legal advisement where required.
Market researching, writing analysis and reports for industry and company review for investment or cooperation for the president.
Provide business and administrative support to the president.

Education/Experience

Bachelors degree in commerce, business, communications, public relationship, marketing or related field.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years experience in public relations or corporate communications
At least 2 years industrial commerce and sales experience.
Ability to create high level copywriting and presentation skills with experience in communications and project management.
Proven ability to develop, implement and execute successful business acumen.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in reading, writing and communicating as well as Microsoft Office.
